This place literally saved me from being clawed to death by a Beijing taxista. I was meeting friends nearby Tim's Texas Roudhouse for all you can drink margies, so I decided to swing by and pick up some ground turkey (it's fab for chili and burgers, and yes they make it fresh there). As I pulled in front I realized I only had 10 rmb in my wallet, and the taxi was 20rmb! (this never would have happened to me in Shanghai as this area would be served by a subway--I just don't get Beijing). I tried to use the glorified stuffed mattress of a Bank called Agricultural next door to no avail (there should be a law prohibiting banks from displaying VISA- money for Olympics when they don't accept foreign cards). I went into Schlinder's to see if they could overcharge my credit card by 10rmb and give me 10rmb cash. The female manager/owner was so kind and just gave me 10rmb so I could pay the taxi. That's people service!!!!!! They have great cheese and great prices on bulk sized cheese-not all this pre-packed rip off shyte they have other places for 50 rmb for 150 grams. ATTN all AMERICANS- they aslo have SILK soy products from WHite Wave in Denver, Colorado. Chinese people invented soy milk but there's always gross/ chalky/watery/bitter. Once you go SILK, you'll never go back.
