Radia Bike Events

Dear bicycle enthusiasts of Toastmasters and to all of your friends,

I have been contacted by the Radio Beijing Co (RBC). They are planning on organizing a big bicycle event in this Olympic year. And for that they are searching for more bicycle lovers or passionate cyclists or people who ride bicycle because they think it is s great thing for our environment.

For those of you who can read Chinese, here is a link to this year's event: http://rbc.bjradio.com.cn/chzx/bxbj/

As far as I understand they are currently urgently looking for people to participate in fun bike games/activities schedules on weekends. I have the schedule for the coming two weekends:

April 26 Saturday 1400-1700 Wanda Plaza Xin Shijie

If you have time and are interested, please join this activity.

Lulu is the main organizer and coordinator of these activities (as well as the final event). Her contact details are: Email: stephy-xu@hotmail.com Cell: 13581632491

I you are interested, please contact her and confirm when you would like. to participate. If you have questions, you can also ask me.

As far as I understood (I cannot read Chinese, so cannot read the information on the website): They are having these activities in various cities in China some of which are Beijing , Shanghai , Shenyang , Qingdao , Tianjing. So they are looking for participants in all cities. If you know somebody in those cities please also inform Lulu. Over the period of all the activities (in all cities) they will then chose about 10 cyclists from each city. The Beijing cyclists can then chose which other city they want to go to. Then as the big event the people from each city will cycle all the way to Beijing . So again if you are interested in cycling from Shanghai to Beijing as an event, please contact Lulu. And if you know fellow cyclists interested to cycle from another city to Beijing , please tell them also to contact Lulu.

Please help spreading this information to other cycling enthusiasts all around China, Ines

P.S.: For your information, here is also the link for last year's green bicycle event organized by RBC, which was cycling along the second ring road in September 2007 (maybe some of you heard of this or had joined): http://rbc.bjradio.com.cn/chzx/ygbj/
