This park boasts excellent landscaping, a Buddhist temple, 11 themed flower gardens and high-tech greenhouses. The Beijing Botanical Garden is a popular place for wedding shots and of course, older dancing Beijing-ren. There's also food stalls on the grounds. RMB5 for entry into the main gardens.

The Beijing Botanical Garden is a veritable paradise of flora and, well, more flora comprising excellent landscaping, peaceful gardens, hi-tech greenhouses and a million and one spots for wedding photography, it would seem. Check out the bustling Temple of the Sleeping Buddha, memorial to master novellist Cao Xueqin or one of eleven themed gardens featuring roses, peonies, rare orchids and more. With admission to the main gardens at 5RMB, you can be sure to find dancing old folks in the shade and plenty of cheap food on-site. And couples all in white.
Take buses 331, 634, 737, 360, 318, 714, 733 to Beijing Zhiwuyuan (北京植物园) or taxi from Shangdi subway station. The 2 main entrances are on Xiangshan Nanlu and Xiangyi Lu.
