Originally built for volleyball matches in the the 1990 Asian Games, the Chaoyang Gymnasium is now also used for basketball, badminton, table tennis, seven-person handball matches and even gymnastics. Resembling a cruise-liner under a bridge and sizing in at 99x66 meters the elliptical-shaped venue can hold up to 3,200 people and also hosts different events/performances.
