Best Hotel of The Bohai Area InterContinental Beijing Financial Street, the first hotel to open in the newly developed Financial District was recently awarded as “The Best Hotel of Bohai Area” in the third annual 21st Century Business Herald’s “China Hotel Golden Pillow Awards”.
The Golden Pillow Awards, instituted in 2004 by the Herald, one of China’s leading business newspapers, ranks the best hotel chains and individual hotels/resorts and restaurants in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. Categories include brand awareness, brand-satisfaction rates, service, products, development potential and corporate citizenship responsibility.
The Top Hotel Awards were evaluated based on the hotel’s location, performance, service, facilities, unique, memorable moments and so forth. Results were determined by hoteliers experts, media leaders, selected frequent business travellers and guests votes. Among numbers of International brand hotel, InterContinental Beijing Financial Street was voted as “The Best Hotel of Bohai Area”.

Inaugurated as the First 5-Star Hotel in Financial Street On January 22, 2006, China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) officially inaugurated InterContinental Beijing Financial Street as the first official 5-star hotel in the Financial Street.
China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) is directly regulated by the State Council, responsible for developing, promoting and regulating China tourism industry. CNTA is responsible for hotels inspection, examining the facilities, building structure, safety and service.

The First Green Hotel in the Financial Street
December 26, 2007 - InterContinental Beijing Financial Street has been certified as a Green Hotel by China Tourist Hotel Star-rating Committee, passing all checkpoints for sustainable-environment practice and standards.
