Contrary to the expression in my avatar, I love it here. It was just really bright that day. And maybe I was still a little annoyed because they made my hair something that in Chinese surely must be called "clown orange" instead of "cafe se", which was the brown I pointed to in the book of fake hair. But after 5 minutes of crying, another 10 minutes of yelling in bad Chinese, and a day of stewing, it grew on me and I decided to have fun with it.
That's how I like to see life. No point wasting time being upset about things. If you don't like something, there are only two possible healthy solutions:
1 - change it, do something about it
2 - if you can't change it, relax, because worrying about will only hurt you; it won't help anything outside you.
And in case you don't know, it's VERY hard to change red.
About Beijing... I wish the air was clean, but other than that I have no major complaints and am thoroughly enjoying my time here.
Oh, and I wish the miserable-expat-complainers would just shut up and listen to my advice... I get so frustrated with them I want to smack them..... and shove them into a... and punch them in th-.... oh right. Deep breath.... Ahhhhhh...... :D
