Douchebag of the week 1/09/2010

My husband and I were sharing a beer at Paddy O'Sheas. The table next to us consisted of three men well in their 60s, and a Chinese lady in her 40s. They were discussing the local women, and one American loudmouth in particular began to brag about how within his first few months in China he had gotten 8 different Chinese girls, each around the age of 22-23. He was loud enough for the whole bar to hear him, and he was so very proud of his conquests. I supposed I would be too if I had the large pregnant-like beer belly gut he had and the shnozzer of a nose. He talked about what Chinese girls want, and how currently he had given his current girl ample chances to cheat on him, but he believe she hadn't. After all he is giving her money and alone time while he works.

Not only was he a sleazy and very fat and ugly old man, but it is this type of behavior that makes people hate Americans. I am ashamed to be associated with him.

As a young woman, and for my young husband, we class these people as douchebags. Who would brag about such a pathetic thing? How could he feel good to have to pay for sex and love, not even love. They come hear thinking they know everything and are kings of the world, but are really trolls. My heart felt disgusted hearing this, it literally made me shiver. And it made me ponder why no one is taking this head on. They shouldn't be able to get away with it, or at least feel good about it. It is time for us to make them feel ashamed, and what better way then humiliating them for all of China's ex-pats to know.
