This Super Bar Street favorite returns to Sanlitun's Tongli Studios. The falafel and mezze appetizer platter are highly recommended. Wi-Fi and ample plug-ins are great for the tech crowd, while lazy lunchers will appreciate the ample natural light and friendly service.
For an exotic evening of all things Arabian, this restaurant brings your imagination to life. With gilded ceilings, entertaining belly dancing and outdoor seating available, it's one of Beijing's most unique dining experiences. Specialties include lamb and chicken kebabs and spicy pita bread. The restaurant boasts many Middle Eastern expats as regular customers.
This place is fantastic! It is right off of the very picturesque Liangma River next to the Embassy district. The prices are very reasonable, and I think a much better dining experience than 1,001 Nights and Biteapita. I will admit, I am not an expert on Middle Eastern food, but it tastes very good to me. The second floor has very nice homey decor with little intimate bao jians. It is a nice date spot for a weekend afternoon.
Opened by the former manager and chef from Alsafa, this little restaurant, with its shisha pipes and the murmuring of Al-Jazeera in the background, provides Sanlitun with an oasis of Arabic culture. Apart from the appetizers, the Middle Eastern pastries (sold only in bulk) are the highlight of the menu.
The charming Iranian owners are one of this popular place's main attractions; that along with the chic minimalist décor and authentic flavors. Iranian expats congregate here for juicy meat marinated in sweet and sour flavors like pomegranate done up in a bath of secret spices.
Featuring simple but beautiful décor, this Middle Eastern restaurant serves up some of Beijing's best hummus. Other noteworthy mezza, or appetizers, include kibbeh, best eaten with a spread of labaneh bil zeit, a kind of soft cheese. Service is attentive, and health-conscious patrons love the restaurant's no smoking policy. You can also order your food online.
