Imported from Shanghai, this pizza parlor serves up huge, thin-crust, American style pizzas. We recommend the tomato basil pizza, topped with mozzarella, large, juicy slices of fresh tomato, fresh basil and garlic. Students get a 20 percent discount, and free home delivery (up to 3km) is also available.

A second branch of this Italian pizzeria serves up authentic Neapolitan-style thin crust pizza, straight from the wood fired oven. We recommend ordering generous portions of the antipasti and salads to start.

Friendly service and good old Italian fare of heaping pastas and steaming pizzas make for a relaxing dinner. The candles, white tablecloths and red napkins add up to sophistication, attracting many local Italian expats. Expect classics like carbonara, bolognese and napoletana pizzas.

Formerly known as the "Hidden Tree" located in another part of Sanlitun, this wondrous place picked up and relocated to the heart of the Sanlitun back street area around the corner from Kai Bar. And once you find the place you may be surprised to see how packed it can get on a weekend and how expansive the interior is. The centerpiece of the restaurant floor lets you watch the chefs do their thing with rollers, dough, and brick ovens, and the bar stretches long enough to meander and mingle freely. They boast a wide selection of imported beers (ask which ones are from Belgium) and an extensive drink menu, but their food menu mainly serves to compliment their virtually-best-in-Beijing pizzas, which is why you came here hungry in the first place, right? One pizza is small enough for one person and large enough to share, and will cost anywhere from 45-75元 depending on the amount and kind of toppings. And if you make it out on a weekday, 11am-2:30pm they offer a special lunch menu. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Though decor's a bit sparse, this place is rocking what is hands-down the biggest pizza pie in town. Pair up the delicious, gigantic pizzas with golden crunchy fries, and, at two pints, some of the biggest, strongest mixed drinks in town, and you've got the ingredients for a Beijing institution.
