Greedy Hippy Artist Bio

DJ Greedy Hippy from Dublin Ireland, is one of a growing number of international producer Djs who are now based full time in Asia. Mixing a combination of his original house and breakbeat productions, with the latest electro house tunes and promos from other international artists, his Dj style welds high energy breaks with driving electro house and the latest cuts out of London. Originally from Dublin this DJ started out as a sound engineer for touring bands and Djs, working on events that featured many top names in dance music such as the Chemical brothers, Fatboy Slim and even David Bowie. This initial taste of dance music culture brought him to London where he began working with London based producers with credits from Baby D and SL2 on Doghouse records. This was later followed by a move to New Zealand where he worked at Studio 54 producing all kinds of house and breakbeat music and working on big outdoor events with local artists. In 2005 he teamed up with London DJ Jaime Mack and they formed the Powertrippers soundsystem, producing breaks at their own studio in the UK, while at the same time DJing and mixing at underground parties all around London and getting their music heard. This year he continues to produce under the Greedyhippy moniker as well as touring and DJing around Asia. While clubs in Europe are closing and new ones opening in Asia every day it’s a very exciting time to be out here in 2008.
