For the colourful Miao minority in rural southeast China Guizhou province, the Miao New Year Festival is the most important celebration of the year. It's the time for the Miao people to celebrate their harvest. The celebrations will be held in every village by the locals. Every villager turns out to join the excitement, girls dress up in their most spectacular traditional costumes and silver headdresses, and dance with traditional instruments such as lushen music. During the festival they will take part in different activities such as bull fighting, horse races, cock fights… This tour invites you to join the celebration and share the joy of the Miao peoples' rich harvest.
