Why rely on bringing your party to the bar when you can bring the bar to your party? [The BREW](http://www.cityweekend.com.cn/shanghai/listings/nightlife/bars/has/the-brew1/) Trike & Trailer is the city’s first trailer-style mobile kegerator system, attached to a vintage sidecar motorcycle. The trailer holds up to three kegs—that’s 150 liters of freshly brewed craft beer.
The WWII-era sidecar is BREW brewmaster Leon Mickelson’s baby. It lives outside the brewing tanks at The BREW and on weekends you can spot it cruising around town, doing its part to ensure thirsty patrons have access to cold beer at major gatherings. No longer will we be forced to stop at the Kedi for luke-warm Tsingtao or heaven forbid, a travel-size bottle of baijiu. Mickelson assures us that this sexy contraption can churn out over 300 pints of the good stuff. The Trike & Trailer has made recent appearances at backyard barbecues, golf tournaments, beer festivals and the Kerry Hotel’s superbowl party, where it served over 500 guests.
Mickelson recommends filling the trailer with The BREW’s most popular beers, “The pilsner (pils), Indian pale ale (for the hop lover) and the Razorback cider (apple Champagne for the ladies).” Beer lovers can rent the fully-loaded trailer along with the hunky brew master to make sure every cup is filled with a perfect pour for a cool RMB10,000. When asked if he’s ever drank straight from the tap, Mickelson asks us, “Does a bear sh*t in the woods?” We’ll take that as a yes.
