Created by Chinese singer-songwriter and author Liu Jian and his American journalist wife Rebecca Kanthor, Hand in Hand bills itself as China’s first international music festival for the whole family. Hailing from the US, Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band have been named “the face of kindie music” by the Washington Post. Creating music rooted in childlike imagery and imagination, Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis, the married duo have released three albums of kid-friendly music, beginning with 2010’s Luckiest Adventure. Since then the family band has gone on to win a Latin Grammy for their album ¡Fantastico!

Hippe Gasten from Holland are known for their interactive children’s shows with audience participation aimed at showing kids and parents how to be their own rock stars. Their latest album, Outstanding encourages children to be themselves and embrace who they are.

American harmonica player and blues musician Billy Branch is coming to Shanghai on January 11. Branch, a three-time Grammy nominee and Emmy winner, began his career in the mid 1970’s as a touring harmonica player for blues legend Willie Dixon. Since then, he’s started his own band, and has recorded on over 150 recordings, producing 12 records of his own. Tickets are on sale now
