The happiest 5K on the planet is coming to Shanghai with a bang and lots of colors. For those not aware, the Color Run is a non-timed 5k ‘race’, that splashes you with foam and various colors. The rules are simple: wear a white shirt, get color on that white shirt and have fun. If your white shirt does not look like an exploded rainbow by the time you finish the race, you did not do it correctly. There is no age restriction for the run, if you can run, you can participate. Kids under 1.20m get to run for free. The only one who can’t join the fun, is your pooch, who for health reasons must stay at home. For early risers, the first run starts at 9:30 and goes to 10:30am. Those who prefer a later start, can catch the afternoon run from 3-4pm. A deluxe kit, with extra goodies, costs RMB288. You can also get the classic kit for the price of RMB228.
