Commune Market has pulled out all the stops for a festive Christmas market, held over two consecutive weekends on the rooftop garden space at K11 Art Mall. The festive market will see talented local designers, crafts people, and artists who will bring their handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, accessories, and more. Of course, there will be plenty of gourmet food and drink vendors serving up beer, cocktails, mulled wine, desserts, cakes, and more. There will also be a play area for kids and live music entertainment. If you're shopping for gifts or looking to sip on some warm mulled wine, this would be the place to do it. North Carolina-born artist Travis Stewart, known as Machinedrum, occupies a unique place in US electronic music. His debut as Machinedrum, Now You Know, was released in 2001 on pioneering Miami-based Merck Records and gained worldwide attention and praise from musicians, fans, and critics. Having a strong background in both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, he was quickly able to navigate those various elements on his early releases, from field recording and vintage synth laden Urban Biology to his seminal production and mixing of This Charming Mixtape with Theophilus London. There's a new hotspot in Jing'an, and to celebrate, naturally, there's a party. It's called City Oasis Pavilion, located behind OLA on Wuding Lu. It's a warehouse that will soon be home to restaurants, bars, and cafes, among others. That said, there's a warehouse party to kick it off. "Break The Rules" will invite local DJs to provide music entertainment, and they'll set up tables for beer pong and flip cup, beer bongs for chugging champs, supposedly pole dancers, and an XBOX hooked up to a projector.
