Spa Pick: All-You-Can-Spa at Langham Xintiandi

Chuan Spa's three-hour treatment

Spas in Shanghai: Chuan Spa, Langham Xintiandi

Why would you ever spend money at a hotel spa? The answer is simple—to gain access to all of their state-of-the-art gym facilities, sauna and steam rooms and enjoy complimentary access to their swimming pool. This summer, Chuan Spa at the The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi has a spa deal that requires an entire afternoon set aside for pampering. Their three-hour long “all-you-can-spa” treatment is a customizable program that allows you to choose from a selection of their signature massages and facial scrubs, as long as it totals three hours.

Opt to combine a one-hour full body scrub, a 90-minute full body oil massage and a 30-minute facial. The gentle scrub will clean away excess dirt and grime accumulated from the sticky summer heat. After a quick shower, the masseuse will continue with the full body massage, targeting problem areas according to your requirements. Finally, the facial of creams, tonics and serums will restore that healthy glow you’ve been missing all summer, replenishing moisture and adding firmness to your face, leaving you with a buoyant complexion like a freshly peeled egg.

Be sure to set aside the time before or after your treatment to use their fitness facilities—take a dip in their heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, and finish off in the herbal steam room and sauna. The three-hour all-you-can-spa promotion is valid until the end of September and is RMB1,288 per person. You can also opt to go with a friend or your significant other to make the day more enjoyable for RMB2,238 per couple. Prices subject to 16.6 percent service charge.
