Diners can count down to 2014 with New Year’s Eve feasts at The Lobby, Sir Elly’s and Yi Long Court. Shoppers seeking a Christmas gift can choose from The Peninsula Boutique’s three hampers filled with deluxe goodies, and for sublime relaxation, The Peninsula Spa will offer a Festive Rejuvenation spa journey.
The Peninsula Shanghai is pleased to announce the debut of the hotel’s inaugural skating rink with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The 200 sq m staking rink is the only outside skating rink in Shanghai Puxi area. It is located at the Culture Square of Waitanyuan, right on The Bund. The Peninsula’s skating rink is one of the highlights of “The Magical Waitanyuan 2013”, a first-ever celebrating event jointly staged by buildings in Waitanyuan. The staking rink is priced at RMB100 per person per hour, including use of skates and one-hour free car parking at The Peninsula Shanghai. The proceeds collected will be donated to the supporting charities of The Peninsula Shanghai, including Raleigh China, the Library Project, Cerecare and Included (formerly known as Compassion For Migrant Children).

At Yi Long Court, Executive Chef Dicky To will prepare an eight-course gourmet Chinese Christmas dinner with unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks, plus live music and a lucky prize draw. Priced at RMB1,380 +15% surcharge per person.
Diners can begin the count down to 2014 at Shanghai’s most elegant Chinese restaurant. Yi Long Court will serve Chef To’s eight-course Cantonese menu, accompanied by free-flow wine, beer and soft drinks, and live music. Priced at RMB1,280 +15% surcharge per person.

The Peninsula Shanghai Spa is also offering seasonal cheer. The 110-minute Festive Rejuvenation treatment begins with a cup of Peninsula Tea, homemade cinnamon cookies and a signature sweet osmanthus flower foot ritual. A nourishing Herbal Body Endurance exfoliating scrub and wrap and a volcanic stone or aromatherapy oil body massage complete the invigorating spa journey. Priced at RMB1,300, plus 15% service charge.
