Dagu Lu Selling Legitimate DVDs for a Month

It seems like everyone is talking about the situation of the DVD shops on Dagu Lu. We dropped by the street last weekend and got you some first-hand updates.

“From today till the end of April, we will only sell legitimate DVDs because the authority is checking on us every day now. So will most big and high-profile DVD shops in downtown,” one of the staff told us.

Ironically, things will turn better and brighter after the EXPO starts in May according to her. "The authority is currently doing the pre-EXPO checking. It is very tight. Things will probably loosen up after the EXPO actually begins." Up-to-date DVD copies will be back to the shelf by then.

So you’ve got two solutions here: wait for (maybe) a month or check out some smaller DVD vendors in the outskirt.
