Did Life in Shanghai Just Get Easier?
We recently received a email from a friend about what look like Shanghai's new FreshDirect long lost sibling called EzyMart. Although we know in some parts of the U.S it's close to sacrilegious not to have the online grocer FreshDirect on speed dial, we were never converts. Grocery shopping, we'd like to believe, has always been something we can do ourselves.
City Shop's online ordering system as been around for a while, but now an even more streamlined one, EzyMart is on the scene, and we're confounded if there's demand for it. With all the conveniences we have in Shanghai already, is this one people are really taking advantage of?

I remember when FreshDirect first launched in NYC...all I have to say is, human-sized steak. Walking around Brooklyn Heights. It was convenient--at least I didn't have to lug gallons of milk and glass bottles around myself, but when it comes to fresh produce, I still prefer to choose them myself, in person.

I've never tried grocery shopping online because I actually really enjoy grocery shopping! Maybe because it still IS shopping and that in itself, is a good thing.
