Amy Tan and Matt Groening tickets sold out six hours after they went on sale this morning. "This is a literary festival record!" says organizer Tina Kanagaratnam.

"The notice of when tickets went on sale was only on our website and Facebook page as of last week," Tina adds.

And on the City Weekend website. So keep checking back for updates, bookworms! For any disappointed Simpsons and Amy Tan fans, we'll be posting your chance to win Lit Fest tickets soon, plus podcasts and more as the festival gets rolling.

Shanghai Literary Festival tickets went on sale this morning at 9am through MyPiao, and we expect more events to sell out this week. Get 'em while they're hot...

UPDATE: If you missed the ticket window for their talks, see Tan and Groening when they perform in the all-author rock band, Rock Bottom Remainders (Shanghai Version). The 10th anniversary concert will feature an all-star line-up that also includes Kathi Kamen Goldmark, Sam Barry and Nury Vittachi.

Tickets for that aren't sold out (yet): http://www.mypiao.com/ticket/41544.
