On Friday, April 2, the new Shanghai International Hospital opened in Jinqiao. The facility, an affiliate of Huashan Hospital associated with Fudan University, will have an international care center (the Shanghai International Hospital), which United Family Healthcare, which currently manages Shanghai United Family Hospitals and Clinics has signed a letter of intent to manage.
The new hospital has 16 dedicated international wards and doctors from the U.S., Malaysia and the Philippines (with more international doctors on the way). It is equipped with 200 general beds, 20 ICU beds, 20 CCU beds, 12 emergency observation beds, 11 operating rooms and a comprehensive health screening center. Its state-of-the-art equipment includes CT, MRI, DSA, color doppler, CyberKnife and intraoperative navigation equipment. Outpatient services include family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics.
