Swiss Week launches this weekend!

Swisscham is holding a Swiss Week in Shanghai launching this Sunday with a Parade and a fair featuring games and a preview of Switzerland's Expo Pavilion!

Check it out to get a feel for what Expo's going to be like and learn more about Switzerland, the tiny, mountainous country that produces more Nobel Prize winners than many much larger countries and has one of the highest patent rates per capita. How do they do it?

Sunday, 18.10.2009 - Opening Ceremony, Wujiang Road

1:00 - 2:00 pm Welcoming by political members from China and Switzerland 4:00 - 6:00 pm Parade of the Landwehr Orchestra Desks with Swiss specialties, tourist information, lucky draw, photographs with Swiss Background, movie about Switzerland, Children and Family Games etc. 7:00 pm Meet and greet the Swiss Community in a garden Restaurant organized by SwissClub

Tuesday, 20.10.2009 - Book Launch @ swissnex Shanghai "How the body shapes the way we think - a new view of intelligence" by Rolf Pfeifer and Josh Bongard (Chinese Translation available) followed by a Book Launch Party

Wednesday, 21.10.09 - Round Table Discussion @ swissnex Shanghai swissnex Shanghai and Uli Sigg invite to a roundtable discussion on "Why Swiss cultural and scientific promotion in China" - Hook is the vernissage of Pro Helvetia's magazine "Passage" (new now in Chinese).
