Local Shanghai artsit Yi Hong is exploding all over the Internet at the moment thanks to her insane portrait of the legendary Yao Ming. What makes it so insane? She painted the whole thing using a basketball! Yi, who goes by the name Red, describes herself as an artist who "loves to paint, but not with a paintbrush". She posted this time-lapse video of her latest project and within a few days she had over 500,000 views on Youtube. Check out the amazing video below.

City Weekend recently caught up with the talented artist to find out more about her work. Keep checking back on the City Weekend website to read more.

While talented...I have to ask...So, having a bit of fun with inference, :-) what else can she do with a basketball? or a football (soccerball)... paint Messi (FC Barca)? or shuttlecock and paint LinDan...?
