Every Wednesday we round up some of the more obscure news articles circulating Chinese media. This week we're looking at crazy company parties, the iPad just for Chinese officials and a 30-floor hotel that was built in just 15 days. Check it out below.

Who says Chinese don’t party? In the lead up to the Chinese New Year, company annual dinners have always been a hot topic among white collars. Most company staff spend months preparing for the party in order to show off their talents and to impress their boss. Performances usually include sexy dances and elaborate funny skits. According to Yahoo news, one company even went as far to hire erotic dancers. What's the craziest things you've seen at your office party?

A new iPad called “Red No 1” (hong pai yi hao 红派壹号) , tailored made for Chinese officials , was recently advertised online.
Although the price of RMB9,999 is much more expensive as the normal iPad, it claims to feature special and unique functions particularly useful for officials. With the iPad, “users will not only get the first-hand news from the central government faster than other people, but also have access to information and news non-users don’t have access to.”
Does this mean that they can jump over the great firewall?

Recently a Chinese construction firm, Broad Group, finished a 30-floor hotel in 15 days in Changsha, Hunan Province. It is claimed that it can withstand a 9.0 magnitude earthquake. The hotel, made of soundproof materials, also has insulation and a functioning air cleaning system in each room. Would you dare to check in?
Check the time-lapse video of the hotel being built, right here.
