For most Chinese, Spring Festival is not a time to relax--rather, it's an intense battle that starts with huge queues for train tickets and a tough, long ride home. Recently, a girl surnamed Wang in Beijing was inspired by the tough experience and created a series of wacky carry-ons for the battle ahead. It tickled the funny bones of Chinese netizens and quickly became a hot topic on Weibo last week. Here’s part of her list:
Pointed, riveted shoes: To protect feet from being stepped on in crowds.

Chicken toy: Once you squeeze it, it will make sharp sound that drives crowds away.

Tattoo stickers: Put on a temporary tattoo to give the impression that you're are a tough gangster not to be f*ed with.

Anti-theft underwear: A safe space for you most valuable documents and/or cash as a safeguard against thieves or robbers.

Mini-mahjong table: For some fun on the interminable train rides.

Adult diapers: Just in case during long train or bus rides.

Foldable Stool: Take a seat. Anywhere, anytime.

Following the release of the list, a shopping website soon offered “Spring Festival Carry-ons” themed items. While most netizens found the list funny, some found it retarded, pathetic and sad. Boo to them. Either way, we're glad we found it--it's a fun glimpse at the tough battle ahead to make it home.
Unoriginal rehash without cite to original. (No, 'surnamed Wang' does not replace a linkie). Professional, real professional. I remember the good old days when CW writers actually researched, instead of ripping the work of others and compiling unending, inane lists. For added bonus points, catch the casing error!
Stupid and Dull. All these CW bloggers just comb the internet for articles they can just cut and paste and add their by line. Amberwoo is one of them. Find another profession.
