For some, Valentine’s Day is a chance to honor the love of your life—your “sugar pie honey bunch,” if you will. For others, it’s a chance to fight back gag reflexes and cynically chalk the whole thing up to the greeting card companies’ insatiable greed. But for those in the first category, here’s a big badass list of Valentine’s Day revelry. We've got hotel packages, romantic meals for two and the occasional partaaay all right here:
Dinners
The Alchemist
Celebrate your special someone with a five-course feast from chef Kelley Lee. The shared menu includes a complimentary glass of Chandon Rose sparkling for RMB888.

Book in at Xintiandi’s newest boutique hotel for a special treat this February 14. Dress up for a special five-course candlelit dinner that includes two glasses of Perrier-Jouet Champagne, a flaming bomb Alaska dessert for RMB980 or get that with a King room, a bottle of Champagne and breakfast for RMB3,180. All prices are plus 15 percent surcharge.

This is a fun option for couples who like to booze. Get a selection of five tapas to start followed by your choice of four mains and fried canutitos to finish. RMB333 per person includes a cocktail (8 choices); add RMB67 for two hours of free-flow maragaritas, sangria and wine.

Their four-course menu includes oysters, saffron risotto, your choice of a prawn or beef main and an amaretto and chocolate parfait for dessert. RMB398 per couple includes two "red passion" cocktails and a surprise gift.
Boxing Cat Brewery
Beer makes us all feel a little more loving, which is why BCB's 5-course dinner and free flow tastings of their microbrews (RMB325) seems like the ideal way to celebrate V-Day this year. Whether you love the holiday or hate it, we're pretty sure you'll have a good time at this Brewmaster's dinner. 6-9pm. Seating is limited to 25 people, so make your reservations early.

Downstairs by David Laris
Do Valentine's Day this year within the cozy confines of the URBN Hotel. For RMB888, you'll get a sharing platter of appetizers to start, two mains, two desserts and a complimentary bottle of wine. Book ahead and you'll automatically be entered to win a night at the hotel after dinner as well.
The Grumpy Pig
