Easter brunches galore, the UAFE Champion's League trophy photo-op, the Shanghai Alleycat race, Passover and seder services, an International Pillow fight and the best Al Fresco dinning spots. We have the six greatest things to tickle your fancy this holiday weekend.

Easter Brunch
Celebrate the end of Lent by attending one of Shanghai’s many eggcellent and eggceptional Easter Brunches. There are an eggtraordinary array of special buffet brunches, lunches, Easter egg hunts and egg decorating competitions for the whole family! Don’t know which one to choose? Check out our extensive Badass List of Easter Brunches. We even hear there might be places to pet fluffy bunnies…

The UAFE Champions League
For all you football fans (not American football ones), do not miss out on the opportunity to see the UEFA Champion’s League trophy in person. The trophy which stands at a solid 73.5cm tall and 8.5kg, is on a worldwide tour that began in Mexico City and ends right here in Shanghai. You can take pictures with the cup and Dutch legend Ruud Gullit and Ronald De Boer.

Shanghai Alleycat
People’s Bike is having their annual Alleycat race this weekend, April 6-8, and it's going to be major. The race is a “non-linear bike sprint around the city”. Because of its popularity last year, this year they have turned it into a three-day event. The race begins Saturday at 1pm, but race organizer Drew Bates, says that you should come by 11am for free beer and other activities! Anyone can sign up here and it’s completely free. Check out more event details and history on our blog.

Passover
Tonight is the start of Passover. The Feast of Passover is to commemorate the emancipation of the Isrealites from slavery in Egypt. Tonight is Passover seder which consists of readings from the Haggadah (the story of how the Jews were freed) and a banquet, which includes lots of wine, matzo and other traditional foods. To take part in this important celebration head to one of the two major Passover celebrations in Shanghai. The Puxi seder takes place at Ohel Rachel and the Pudong seder will be taking place at the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel. Just make sure to RSVP on their websites! This year, Passover takes place from April 6, 2012 to April 14, 2012.

International Pillow Fight Day
No this is not a male fantasy come to life, it is the official celebration of the annual fully clothed pillow fight! Hundreds of people have already signed up to potentially make this the biggest free public event in Shanghai. The organizers are a little weary of the event being shut down, so make sure that you sign up here to receive an email with final secret location. The fight begins at 6:00pm on the dot, and be it foam, synthetic, feathered of down, DO NOT FORGET YOUR PILLOW.

Al Fresco
It is finally the time of year to take off the heavy winter coat, break out the sandals and bathe in the sunlight at one of Shanghai’s many Al Fresco spots. Be it dinner by starlight, a causal drink on an outdoor patio, viewing the breathtaking Shanghai skyline from a rooftop bar, relaxing with a cup-of-joe or discovering one of Shanghai’s hidden spots, we have them all for you! If we have forgotten your favorite Al Fresco place, do not hesitate to comment here!
