Gimlets, food porn, Taobao splurges, tasty oysters, babes in bikinis and the ultimate Sunday supper. We've rounded up six things for you to sink your teeth into over this beautiful weekend.

The Breakfast Gimlet | DRINK
The Alchemist churns out the most creative cocktails in Shanghai and right now we're loving their Breakfast Gimlet. Mosey on over for their brunch service this weekend and try out this perfect summer cocktail. Using London gin, the drink gets its funky, overripe fruity flavor from the addition of their homemade lime marmalade. Right now the bar is doing a special deal; you'll get a free shared plate of delicious snacks when you spend RMB250 on any of their signature elixirs.

Oink, Oink, Oink | WEB
Sitting at the very top of our bookmarks folder right now is the The Thirsty Pig. Jimmy Chang, the author and creator, is one of our favorite Shanghai foodies and his website is the food porn blog du jour. He keeps track of his eating adventures by taking "snapshots of the wet, savory and delectable". Jump onto his website and take a gander for yourself. Make sure you keep some napkins by your side to wipe away the drool.

Splash Around | TAOBAO
We hate to burst your summer bubble, but it looks like things are about to get a bit wet next week. Do like the hipsters do and protect your feet from sludgy Shanghai puddles with a pair of original Hunter Rainboots. Pair them with the matching socks and you'll be the most fashion-forward drowned rat in town.

Oyster Pool Party | EAT & DRINK & ATMOSPHERE
How many oysters could an oyster shucker shuck, if an oyster shucker could shuck oysters? Well you can find out at the Marriott this Saturday as they kick off the summer with the Oyster and Champagne poolside party. The mollusks mad party will feature "Oyster King" Billy Marinelli, who will be shucking oysters all evening, paired with refreshing bubbly. Ladies, they'll be serving you unlimited free flow of Chandon sparkling wine. It's just a mere RMB250.

Beach Bums | DRINK & ATMOSPHERE
Finally the beach by the Bund is being put to good use. The Ice Cream Truck crew is celebrating their second birthday this Saturday by breaking in the Bund-side beach. Expect free ice-cream, kiddie pools and lots of sweaty people. The party starts early and goes late. DJs include Siesta, Deville, Sal, plus residents Mau Mau and The Uhhh. You can get free entry from midday-1pm, after that it's RMB100.

Sunday Supper | EAT & DRINK
Austin Hu is celebrating this weekend as Madison officially has its first birthday. Happy Birthday guys! As his gift to us, he'll be serving up his best Sunday Supper yet. For one night only, RMB300 will get you all-you-can-eat goodness coupled with all-you-can-drink beer and wine. Menu-wise he is highlighting the best and most popular of all the Sunday Suppers. Expect mac and cheese, pretzels, pulled pork sliders, shrimp cocktails, potato gratin, Caesar salad, slow roasted salmon, banana cream pie and chilled chocolate cake with mixed berry compote. If RMB300 is just too steep for some of you, head over to the restaurant on Monday night where you can get all-you-can-eat chicken wings and all-you-can-drink Mongolian beer for just RMB100. Forget about your waistline, it’s done for.
