How lovely are your branches....
I fondly remember decorating the Christmas tree when I was little and how nice the whole house seemed with that great little tree in the corner. As the years have gone by I've seen more and more potted plants grown into Christmas Trees at the flower market. While it's not the towering evergreen that used to sit in our foyer, it is nice to be able to have the smell of real pine in your home -- if you stand close enough and breathe in hard enough.
No tree for us this year, we won't be home for the holidays and I could just see Tanner tearing down each and every ornament. That would indeed be the funnest game of all in this house.
Seems like it's half and half this year with expats staying and leaving. We're breaking away from the cold and headed down to see Tanner's daddy in Shenzhen then off for a week in Hainan Island. Staying in the new developed east side at the Le Meridien so Daddy can get some good surfing in. I guess you can take the boy out of Hawaii, but you can't take the Hawaii out of the boy. (and yes, I mean my DH and not my son).
