The kick of of ShanghaiPRIDE, Shanghai's first gay pride festival, has attracted many out of towners-- traveling the furthest is perhaps DJ Leather Locklear, a Melbourne native, who has taken a break from her lineup of gay gigs down under to deliver us Shanghai homos a breath of queer air.

In Melbourne, Leather has spun at venues including the Northcote Cocial Club, The Espy, Transport, Loop, and Club Retro, where she specializes in 80s classics. For the ShanghaiPRIDE afterparty at Glamour Bar next weekend she will mix it up with glam rock (affectionately defined as rock with long hair from a lipstick), old school 50s, 60s, and 70s punk, and a few really gay numbers for the boys on the dance floor. Grouse.

For one evening (Saturday June 13th) Leather will transform The Glamour Bar from the already fabulous establishment it is to a dance space suitable for a pride of bumping homos wrapping up a week of proud festivities with an afterparty sure to go down in history in style.

Leather will be showing at Glamour up until ShanghaiPRIDE is over - make sure to make it down for ShanghaiPRIDE, if not before, to endulge in quality cocktails and imported lezzer glam rock for a nice change from the usual Shanghai circuit.
