Rainbow on the Bucks: Les Girls of Shanghai "Invaded" Starbucks

As someone who goes to Starbucks only once every few years, I never knew what had been going on with the global coffee chain, until I was informed by Nv Ai (female love), Shanghai’s Chinese lesbian group. I’m not sure how much the lalas are into caffeine, but they seem to like Starbucks.

Starbucks stores in Shanghai and Zhejiang have recently started a “design your own travel mug” event called “My Own Tumbler”: paint your own picture and submit it to Starbucks. The good ones will be selected and printed on the travel mugs for sale. Perhaps it’s Starbucks’ strategy to sell their watery coffee after they got tired of dishing out disgusting jelly Frappaccinos, but the Nv Ai group is calling their members to go paint rainbows at the Starbucks stores and hand them in to the baristas. Their scheme is called Star Rainbows. The only requirement is to have your photo taken with a barista when you finish your painting. It all seems similar to one of Shanghai’s gay art events called Hide in the Closet. Nv Ai also asks their members to cover their faces with their rainbow designs when having their photos taken.

I wonder whether any of the green-aproned baristas ever question why so many girls with rainbow-covered faces ask for photos with them. The les girls of Shanghai basically "invaded" the Starbuckland and stuck their rainbow flat on it. The event ends on 26th August. Hurry up; there is still time to make Starbucks gayer.
