The most romantic lesbian club in China, or so they claim (what does that mean, anyway?) Focus Club is Shanghai's newcomer of lesbian club. Check out their douban page and find out why it is "romantic".
Shanghai LGBT group's monthly "Meet and Greet" took place at G8 on Dagu Lu last night. However, for some reason the power went off and left folks in dark. It is suspected that someone pulled the fuse in the back. This tiny piece of news again proves how tiny the city's expat community, especially the gay expat community, really is.
Shanghai LGBT finally has its own website, however, I really wish it could be a little less margin looking. The main photo on the "official" website shows a feather-headed drag queen singing on the stage of last year's Shanghai Pride and, next to her, is the oversized face of ... another drag queen.
Click through on to the site and you'll find nothing except a pink Barbie Store poster. What a nice image to represent anyone who is sexually attracted to the same sex! Pink, barbie, drag queens, and drag queens. No wonder people call us "queer".
