“I’ve always been creative and longing to design. I feel blessed to be able to do what I like and design hats or hair jewelry that are very me.” A Mod’art graduate, French milliner Marion Adeline Rosset is a free spirit—independent-minded, caring, sensitive and passionate. Marion loves sports like karate, but busy with her hat design studio, she confesses that now she has to count walking her two doggies, Sumo and Nino, as daily exercise.

She loves to go trend hunting for inspiration, finding new materials to experiment with, as well as involving herself in the city’s growing vintage scene. Marion considers Eley Kishimoto and Tsumori Chisato as personal style inspirations for their bold prints and vintage designs: “MMM is also inspirational: play and experiment makes fashion fun.”

Marion’s own style is artsy-gypsy, military-inspired, a bit quirky and super colorful. For shopping, she likes non-branded vintage stuff from around the world (latest trips include Hong Kong, Berlin and Paris), and basics from Zara. Cosmetics mean little to Marion. Even her first Caudalie face cream was a gift from her brother and just a faint spray of her favorite perfume, Musc from Reminiscence, is enough to make her feel good.

Here Marion dons a black blazer from Zara, her favorite skinny jeans from Maje, a pair of high heels bought in Shanghai, a basic T-shirt from Catalogue63 in the Philippines, a vintage belt from her mother, vintage military medals found in Berlin, a felt hat she made herself in Paris with old military pins, an ivory bangle from her mother, and a gold chain with three pendants/medals (one with the portrait of her great grandpa). On the floor is one of her designs, a Soviet pilotka-style hat.
