Aegean Rebrands Itself
Like a teenager that changes allegiances from Nike to Adidas over spring break, Aegean has rebranded itself as Three and Tree. The winds of change have been blowing through that garden space for a while. We first caught that breeze months ago in a discussion with a restaurateur friend of ours who'd tipped us off to the owner's considering a change of style. Rebranding is a tricky business, but then they haven't exactly entwined the number three around a gnarled tree branch and referred to themselves as "the restaurant formerly known as Aegean", so perhaps there's hope. At the moment the menu has some new and some of the old items, shifting a bit more toward Mediterranean than Greek. It'd be a shame to have such a beautiful garden space sit empty so with any luck, this new push will bring in the crowds. Though, admittedly I'm a bit curious about where the inspiration for the name came from ...
