By now, you've heard of one (or all of) the bagel lady (Christine Asuncion, Spread the Bagel), the cookie girl (Lexie Comstock, Strictly Cookies), the jam lady (Amelia Heaton-Renshaw, Amelia's Jams) and the cupcake girl (Jenna Suharto, omg Bakery). And if you haven't, you really should--their bagels, cookies, jams and cupcakes are all homemade and all some of the best in town.
The four lovely ladies have now also teamed up with sandwich kings Trenchers to form their own posse (The Co-op) and have opened their own store, taking over the old Trenchers alcove on Nanyang Lu. It's called Pantry, and they're stocking everything that each of the entrepreneurs make. The only exceptions are a few cans of soda, some Vitamin Water and some bags of Kettle Chips.
They just opened last Friday (you may have already seen them passing out flyers in the area), and have killer meal deals. In the morning they've got a RMB25 breakfast set which gets you tea or coffee and a choice between a bagel with cream cheese or a cinnamon roll. At lunch RMB50 gets you a sandwich, drink and a choice between two cookies or a cupcake. The RMB25 afternoon tea set will get you tea or coffee and a choice between two cookies or a cupcake. Things are still in flux, so those may change over the next few weeks, and they're going to add to the menu too with bagel chips and different bagel sandwiches in the works. Picnic basket options are also available.

If all goes well, there may be more under the Co-op brand. The partnership isn't a true co-op per se, but they're working together to help grow each others' businesses and play off each others' strengths. Trenchers (who've been working with Strictly Cookies for months) is doing the deliveries for the team for now, and the different entities contribute different amounts to each set menu. Eventually, they're hoping to make their big money with corporate or bigger office/team orders.
Their phone hasn't been hooked up yet, but drop by and say hi--if you're nice you might even get some free samples.
