Lunch? Whatever.
So it's lunchtime (read: time to order waimai) and I have a dilemma.
Back-track to Monday: I dropped by iiiit! on my way in to the office, grab the usual coffee to go, and noticed that their menu has changed. Hmm, so that's what Eduardo was doing here last week. At the office, I excitedly announced "iiiit has a new menu!" only to have dining editor Trista reply, "Yeah, they canceled your salad." What?! NO! Not my "Un Poco di Boco," the salad that I order three times a week, the salad that's automatically ordered when I call and say "room 1501, extension 8835." I tried the new Roasted Veggie Salad but it's just not the same. Apparently, the boccolini cheese used in Un Poco was too expensive. Yes, I compl--enquired. But I still want it back.
While I'm at it, I'm also wondering why Happy Lemon would take their signature drink off the menu. The lemon / Yakult / jelly ice dream combo is no longer available, and the Armchair Traveler and I are distraught. A visit to Happy Lemon is my ultimate de-stresser (it tops even Starbucks, where the coffee isn't great but it reminds me of home) but it was stressful having to select another drink from the list. Really, a summer without "Happy Lemon"? Nooo...
Today's deadlines, check (good job, columnists). Final proofing of the new Home & Office supplement, check. Lunch? ...
There. I got that off my chest. Writing may be therapeutic, but I'm still hungry.
