Picasso on Fuxing

When we last went to press, Picasso, a new cafe on Fuxing Xi Lu just adjacent from the Passageway where you'll find Ginger and Y+ Yoga, was still under construction with nothing more than a sign saying "cafe" to indicate what was to come.

Well, wouldn't you know, just after going to press, this one opened up. Looks like it may be part gallery as well. When I passed by I didn't have time to stop in but will do so later this week next time I'm at yoga and give an update. The space right beneath Y+ has also been undergoing some major renovations. It used to house a strange shop offering a combination of large stainless steel pots and pans plus a rather hodge podge collection of chef-style clothing as well as some ridiculously expensive glitz and glam pieces. Let's just say I'm not surprised it went out of business. The space is now for rent so we'll have to keep an eye on that one in case other ambitious F&B entrepreneurs decide to set up shop.
