Summer Season(ings)
As the season progresses, things seem to be progressing at a more laid back pace in anticipation of summer--the high season in some countries but the low season in a city where many take off in search of cooler climates or familiar surroundings during the summer months.
A few more venues are starting to debut their summer menus, including New Heights with items such as five spiced roasted monkfish. Sounds interesting. We've also heard Des Lys may be revamping their menu, but not in the usual way. Reportedly they're considering opening up a new location in the Fenyang Lu / Yueyang Lu area, but with a different name and likely different dishes.
Also a quick updates. A stroll past the former Neo Cafe has shown that it's not been simply remodeled as suggested by the previous owner--the new owner has flipped from cuisine to fashion. You won't find your midday meal here, but perhaps a new shirt.
