Welcome Boonna 3
Our newest Editor, Tracy You, tipped me off about this one. Turns out Boonna Cafe 3 has recently opened up about, oh, a block from my house. Imagine my excitement. I recently swung by to check it out. They've got a fantastic little deck patio outside and are tucked away from the street just inside a residential area.
The cafe space is still in its infancy and is missing the stocked bookshelves that give the other two Boonna's that special je ne sais quoi, well, actually, je sais--it's the atmosphere, the slightly intellectual / artsy retreat quality and, of course, the Wi-Fi. Being new, the bookworm masses haven't yet dropped off enough of their used books and mags to add to the character, but I think the place will grow into itself. The food is typical Chinese takes on Western food and the menu has been poorly translated so, when you order the chicken burrito, I hope you won't expect to actually get a burrito (it's a wrap, FYI). Go here to read the review.
I think people go here more for the ambiance than anything else and in that vein, I know I'll be returning here to send you your dining updates by remote when I'm not able to steal my attention away from repeat DVDs any other way than forcible removal from my apartment.

I went there a couple of times already ... I usually prefer Labella to Boona 2 in that area.
However, the deck patio and being able to put my bike there in the courtyard has definitely won me over to Boona 3. Having a nice bike, being able to ride there and not fret about getting it stolen is really important.
Labella is still better for food and atmosphere, especially at night.
