"The official Midi Music festival will be held in Shanghai on May 1st and 2nd on 3 indoor and outdoor stages at Red Town, Shanghai Sculpture Space," explains an official press release from Beijing MIDI school.
This 10th anniversary festival has been the talk of the town for several weeks, many, including myself, doubting if it would come to fruition. Now, according to the press release, it official.
While bands have yet to be confirmed, Mr. Nathan assures that there will be special student-priced tickets, which will go on sale in early April.
The only details, aside from the date and location, is that there will be live music from 12pm - 11pm, so stay tuned for more updates.

A Quick Follow Up for anyone who doesn't know, MIDI 2009 Shanghai is CANCELLED.
Just talked to a well-connected music organizer in BJ and the story I got about the MIDI cancellation was that the organizer didn't think they would make a profit what with Cui Jian and other big names doing their own thing in Zhenjiang. Anyway.
