Did You Miss Me? or YuYinTang for that matter?

Well the Summer of no fun is slowly turning into Autumn, and Shanghai's premier live music venue, YuYinTang is poised to make a serious comeback this weekend with a packed schedule of parties and shows. (They actually re-opened last weekend w/ a performance by Beijing's The Gar, but the 7:30 start time kind of killed any chance of a good time). On Friday, local legend B6 will headline the very first RMB. Organized by Antidote and Doll House regular Why?, RMB will also feature DJs Fish, Yen, Luke Ume, and some dipshit named Danny Rogue. Expect good tunes, cheap drinks, and, if the weather is good, some serious debauchery in the park. Saturday night sees Guangxi Britpop act Life Journey take the stage in support of their latest release on Modern Sky Records. There is no opening band on the bill, but my guess is Hard Queen may make an appearance.

A DJ party at YYT? Hasn't Shelter re-opened or something? Doesn't anyone have principles anymore. I hope it's just slow starting again with regular bands and this is a stop gap.

Hard Queen opened for Gar too. They ruled, and Gar ..well, they didn't exactly rule.
