Beginning March 12, and running through March 29, local promoter Split Works will be taking over Shanghai's clubs and galleries for their second annual Jue Festival.

While JUE's final details are still to come, Split Works has officially announced the bulk of their intended line-up, Shanghai events kicking off with Inner Mongolian folk-rock outfit Hanggai at Yuyintang on March 12.

Other notable shows include experimental folkie St. Vincent on March 13, Canadian indie queen Julie Dorion on March 17 and Japanese synth punks Trippple Nippples on March 19, all performing at Yuyintang, as well as Dutch zombie, Dead Elvis & His One Man Grave playing at LOgO on March 20.

This installment of JUE will also include Split Works' new Cross Talk program, where they will bring lesser known acts to Shanghai from other parts of China. Cross Talk features Hebei outfit Omnipotent Youth Hotel at the Dream Factory on March 20 and Guangzhou-based indie-electronica act Yufeimen at Mao Live on March 27.

More details on JUE, including their arts program, to come . . .

Great! Thx for the info, Dan. The diversity in these acts are just huge, something for everyone. I'm looking forward to Trippple Nippple and Hanggai.
