This weekend is a busy one for music. Here are two choice options.

On Friday, Toninho Horta, a Brazilian legend of the Samba guitar will descend into Brown Sugar This guy is considered one of the greatest guitar players in the world. Music made by Brazilians just receives a general thumbs up. Seriously, Brazil = women, music, football... then what. I'm not even sure what comes next, maybe a powder of some sort.

In order to live up to the women side of that equation, there is going to be a host of Brazilian Samba dancers, who I have been assured have "legs that go on for miles." The party is going to go all night but Toninho plays from 9:30 to 11. Just enough time to hit happy hour before getting there.

As for Saturday, Max Tundra is playing at LOgO. His music is super 80s synthy stuff, that is fun in a kinda of indie throw back we are wearing leg warmers way. This show figures to be absolutely packed, for as the new LOgO is a bit bigger than the old one, it's still is pretty small. That fact, and on top of Mr. Tundra, two of Shanghai's best bands are opening. Boys Climbing Ropes and Duck Fight Goose, those two alone in LOgO is enough to make for a great night. When those are your openers, get ready.
