In anticipation of next week's SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, SPIN Magazine has published its 50 Must-Hear Bands at SXSW, and, surprise, surprise, local legends P.K.14 have been named to the mag's best-of list.

While P.K.14 are leading the Chinese charge abroad, local label Maybe Mars are sending six bands / artists in total to SXSW, including Carsick Cars, AV Okubo, Snapline, White and Xiao He.

Even prior to the March 14th Beijing Invasion Party at the DMI House, where all the Maybe Mars artists will perform, P.K.14 will be heading stateside a bit early, playing at famed Austin venue EMO's for a Dart Music International showcase.

After performing at various showcases, including three Maybe Mars-sponsored gigs, the bands will embark on a Southwest Tour which returns to Austin on March 30th, where all the bands will take the renowned EMO's stage for the Converse-sponsored China Invasion Tour.

This is the label's second U.S. tour in five months, P.K.14, Carsick Cars and Xiao He all turning heads last November during several Maybe Mars shows in New York. With a bulked-up touring roster and added experience gained from the November run, it will be interesting to see how Maybe Mars storms America and SXSW this time around.
