Throw Your Hands In The Air! Who said it first?
So tonight, while having a few drinks on the terrace and listening to an old Curtis Blow album and my neighbor Scott brought up his newest mission:
To find out who was the first to coin the phrase 'Throw your hands up in the air and wave 'em like you just don't care'.
A funky cd mix by the man who produced Kylie's opening set when she came here for the right answer.

i think this is the original of the phrase "throw your hands up in air and wave 'em up like you dont care" came from this ->
"i said damn, right outta your seat then ya throw your hands high in the air ya rockin to the rhythm, shake your derriere ya rockin to the beat without a care"
and thts SHG, Rapper's Delight.

Wasn't pretty much all of Rapper's Delight just ripped off popular phrases from other emcees of the time?
I'm sure it was the first time it was put on wax, but not sure about it being invented on that track

OK OK - I've been doing more research and surprisingly the answer seems to be....Jesus @ The sermon on the mount.
:"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
:Therefore I say unto you- put thy hands in the air, and wave them like thy doth not care. If thou art ready to chill with Jesus on the hill, let one of you say 'Hell yeah'"
