Big Name Shake Up
Shanghai's buzzing about Emma Entertainment, and more than just about their upcoming concerts. Although this musical powerhouse is still planning 11 major upcoming shows including Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park and Diana Krall, China Music Radar was the first to report that Emma's director of live events-operations, Adam Wilkes, is leaving on the heels of another major loss, director of live events-marketing, A. Robb Spitzer. What's notable about this turnover is that both men were "poached" from China West Entertainment about a year go, and in a town this small, changing addresses can be a big deal. Although there's tons of history here to gossip about, the real consequences to these moves will be seen in how well September and October treat Emma as they roll their headliners out across China.
