Blame it on too much partying, the summer nightlife slow-down, cash-flow problems or the Ministry of Culture, but Sugar at The Collection just announced that it's closing its doors ... for a bit. Saying that they "can't put a date on it at the moment," the venue will be closed for the next few weeks for a face lift before the fall festivities begin and there are rumors of other significant overhauls.

Although details seem a bit scarce, The Collection tell us (if renovations are the goal), "the look of the upstairs won't change dramatically but there are a lot of things that need to be fixed that are not immediately visible. We also need to make the changes to officially close Pure and Pure Sushi on the 1 & 2 floors and divide the space."

No surprise that Sugar was going to close for renovations, but seems quite sudden considering they have another month of events confirmed. Could just be timing catching up with The Collection but if rumors are true, the sudden closure also could mean that Bund 5 will continue to see delays from its new resident.
