A few weeks ago, Cityweekend had the chance to checkout the new live house going up out past the railway station. About a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station and few buses close by it isn't in the most convenient of locations. Nevertheless, we were impressed once inside. This place is massive, easily holding 800, and has a decent lounge/bar area. Though not officially open the 1234 promotion people are holding a mini-festival on the 20th of December.

For anyone stuck in Shanghai during the holidays the Keep Loud Festival is a ray of light. With Misandao, Angry Jerks, Banana Monkey and many more bands scheduled to perform, this should be a nice way to celebrate Christmas. Besides a solid lineup of punk bands, the promoters are promising free shots of vodka and cheap beer. Hohoho....motherf*ckers.
