Hang in there, friends. Whether you’re still fighting the jetlag, hungover from last night’s bender or raring to go out and get wasted, the weekend is almost here! There’s lots of fun stuff going on so you can catch up with everyone and discuss how much ham you stuffed down your gullet at the dinner table on Christmas Day or gab about how on earth you were able to squeeze into that super tight New Year’s frock. 2012 is here and the apocalypse hasn’t hit yet. Let’s get to work fulfilling all those resolutions.

If your resolution was to save cash while immersing yourself in Shanghai’s booming bohemian scene, then you’re in luck! This weekend you can do both simultaneously over at the One RMB Challenge where Shanghainese and expat bands will take the stage for a mixed audience and do their best to get a mixing pot of a mosh pit off the ground.

Hoping to find a new bar? One just popped up inside of another bar. Shoot Bar opens this Friday, and if you haven't been to Kartel yet, then you can check both those venues off your list.

Did you make a personal promise that you’ll rock out harder? Head over to BeeDees and catch the Tetons show or Kaobang will inspire you get drunk and dance your face off to electro-punk.
