If you’re into electro, drum 'n bass or hip-hop, there is a spate of DJs in town all weekend. Acid Pony Club is back at Dada, making Thursday night a funky warm-up for the weekend. This Friday catch Pete Herbert, the proprietor of infamous Atlas Records at Lola. Saturday is sure to be a rager with Cut Killer at Zeal (win tickets here) and experimental duo Immersiv will be coating The Shelter in trippy visuals. Get Euro for nu and Italo-disco with Belgians Attar and Mickey over at Bar Rouge

Into the live stuff? The COOK has a new jazz quartet that playing Thursday evening. Friday hit Yuyintang for the release of the first ever We are Shanghai collaboration. Get a free CD and experience the first round of collaborators (Duck Fight Goose, Dragon Pizza, Pairs, Naohai, and DJ Eurotrash Atheism from Boys Climbing Ropes) on stage. JZ Big Band’s bringing the noise to JZ Club this Saturday with an 18 piece ensemble of hearty horns and Cold Fairyland will help those battling any indecisive tendencies between rock and classical music. Finish off the weekend with Mongolian garage rockers Mohanik B.O., Moon Tyrant, The Horde and the boys from Banana Monkey.
